Mr. Barnett (white horse) would lead the last trail drive from this region. 



Because ladies have come to watch the bronco-busting it could be that this was a proto-rodeo. Photo was made by Bascom Reagan about 1910. Note that people have come in buggies or on horse-back, not in automobiles. It could be that the site is near Birdwell Lane and 11th Place (Lovers Lane) which was the locale of the first permanent rodeo stadium. It appears that the buster is holding on to the saddle horn--not allowed under later rodeoing rules.
